چکیده

We study the homogenization problem for a random parabolic operator with coefficients rapidly oscillating in both the space and time variables and with a large highly oscillating nonlinear potential, in a general stationary and mixing random media, which is periodic in space. It is shown that a solution of the corresponding Cauchy problem converges in law to a solution of a limit stochastic PDE. © 2005 Published by Elsevier Inc. MSC: 35K57; 60H15

Explicit multiple singular periodic solutions and singular soliton solutions to KdV equation

Based on some stationary periodic solutions and stationary soliton solutions, one studies the general solution for the relative lax system, and a number of exact solutions to the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation are first constructed by the known Darboux transformation, these solutions include double and triple singular periodic solutions as well as singular soliton solutions whose amplitude d...

Homogenization of one-phase Stefan-type problems in periodic and random media

We investigate the homogenization of Stefan-type problems with oscillating diffusion coefficients. Both cases of periodic and random (stationary ergodic) medium are considered. The proof relies on the coincidence of viscosity solutions and weak solutions (which are the time derivatives of the solutions of an obstacle problem) for the Stefan problem. This coincidence result is of independent int...

An Optimal Error Estimate in Stochastic Homogenization of Discrete Elliptic Equations1 by Antoine Gloria and Felix Otto

This paper is the companion article to [Ann. Probab. 39 (2011) 779–856]. We consider a discrete elliptic equation on the d-dimensional lattice Zd with random coefficients A of the simplest type: They are identically distributed and independent from edge to edge. On scales large w.r.t. the lattice spacing (i.e., unity), the solution operator is known to behave like the solution operator of a (co...

Homogenization of random parabolic operators. Diffusion approximation

The paper deals with homogenization of divergence form second order parabolic operators whose coefficients are periodic in spatial variables and random stationary in time. Under proper mixing assumptions, we study the limit behaviour of the normalized difference between solutions of the original and the homogenized problems. The asymptotic behaviour of this difference depends crucially on the r...

Change Point Estimation of the Stationary State in Auto Regressive Moving Average Models, Using Maximum Likelihood Estimation and Singular Value Decomposition-based Filtering

In this paper, for the first time, the subject of change point estimation has been utilized in the stationary state of auto regressive moving average (ARMA) (1, 1). In the monitoring phase, in case the features of the question pursue a time series, i.e., ARMA(1,1), on the basis of the maximum likelihood technique, an approach will be developed for the estimation of the stationary state’s change...
